Senior Vice President and General Manager, Cisco SD-WAN, Multicloud, and Industrial IoT 

As the SVP | GM of Cisco IoT, Vikas Butaney sets the business and engineering strategy and solutions across the portfolio. Vikas engages closely with customers across key industries like manufacturing, transportation, utilities, and the public sector as they transform into digital businesses by leveraging Cisco IoT technologies.

Vikas has global responsibility for engineering and product strategy, roadmaps, and partnerships for the Cisco IoT portfolio including Edge Compute, IoT Security, and Industrial IoT Networking. His team of developers, product managers, technical marketers, industry experts, and business development professionals have enabled more than 70,000 successful Enterprise IoT deployments. Prior to this role, Vikas held the position of VP, Product Management for Cisco IoT and other leadership roles in Cisco network engineering. Vikas also brings experience from working at cloud and mobility start-ups, including Accelera and Mobile Iron.

Vikas earned his M.S. in Electrical Engineering focusing on Optical and Data Communications from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.
