Nick King is Vice President of Customer Experience (CX) Marketing at Cisco. Nick joined Cisco in February 2019 to enable the transformation of Cisco’s approach to marketing and to lead the marketing arm of Cisco’s new CX organization. With CX in the spotlight more than ever, Nick is helping drive Cisco’s transformation to focus on the end-to-end customer lifecycle model, enabling customers to transform their businesses. With 20+ years of experience in the technology sector, Nick specializes in bringing engineering principles to marketing outcomes. Focused on creating or reshaping technology categories, he's known for his expertise in integrated product campaign, as well as his innovative approaches to how customers engage with technology companies. His broad background in go-to-market, partnerships and ecosystems enables him to define new ways for customers and partners to leverage technology and position technology vendors at the forefront of those trends. Prior to Cisco, Nick was at VMware, where he was responsible for VMware Cloud marketing worldwide, including VMware’s own cloud services and the Cloud provider ecosystem. In his time at VMWare, Nick launched partnerships with vendors such as IBM and AWS and established VMware as a multi-cloud vendor. During this time, Nick also pioneered the rebuild of VMware’s internal marketing technology and platforms, helping scale and drive VMware Cloud’s rapid growth. Previously, Nick also held the role of Head of Global Marketing for Android and Chrome enterprise at Google. In this role, he was responsible for introducing Android and Chrome to the enterprise market and managing a number of cloud services and partnerships within the Google ecosystem. Adding on to his extensive experience, Nick worked for nearly a decade at Microsoft, leading roles and driving solutions in Data Platform, Cloud, Windows Server and Partnership. He holds a Bachelor of Business in both Information Systems and Marketing from Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand, where he is originally from.
