Cisco Blogs

Chris Palermo
I joined Cisco in January 2010, after over decade with a global SI (systems integrator) consulting firm. While there, I was aligned to the Portals, Content, and Collaboration group. I helped enterprise customers with their transition from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0. My focus was on enterprise portals, enterprise content management, and collaboration tools. I have continued this evolution at Cisco, where I am helping customers transition from Web 2.0 to Enterprise 2.0 where the focus is more on the social aspects of collaboration. I oversee the architecture team within the Social Collaboration Services group. We are the ones who not only deal with the technology aspects and actual deployment for our customers, but also (and even more importantly) we deal with the strategic and cultural areas. This areas include identifying collaboration pain-points, use case architecting, user group profiling, adoption & change management, etc. I enjoy interacting within this community to hear the collaboration challenges customers and others are facing as we all take part in this shift towards social collaboration. I look forward to interacting with many of you!
