Daniel (Dan) Kern leads Cisco’s Manufacturing & Energy Industry Sector marketing practice within the Americas Region. This team is focused on understanding customer key business imperatives and driving business transformation dialog and engagement with customer lines of business.  Dan’s background includes a variety of sales, strategy and marketing roles working within financial, government and manufacturing markets. He has completed Incident and Unified Command training to better understand communication and collaboration challenges during critical public safety incidents.  He has held a role as a Six Sigma black belt within market and customer operations as well as product development for a high tech manufacturer prior to joining Cisco five years ago. He holds degrees in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from Northern Illinois University and a Masters of Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
