Cisco IQ Is the Engine. Partners Are the Business.

Cisco IQ Partner Support – Standard is now generally available. For the first time, partners can deliver Cisco IQ under their own brand, through their own experts, as part of their own services practice.

Generali, one of the largest insurance and asset management groups in the world, previously spent four days on a single security advisory tracking down which of its 16,000 devices across eight countries were affected. With Cisco IQ, it takes ten minutes, and that includes an actionable report.

Georgetown University tells a similar story. With 6,500 access points, 500 switches, and 45 separate service contracts, renewals took two months of manual work. Now they get one aggregate view in 20 minutes.

Four days of work turns into ten minutes. Two months now equates to 20 minutes.

That is not an efficiency gain. That is a different business.

A year ago, we introduced Cisco IQ and made the case that agility isn’t optional anymore. Today, more than 16,000 customers are running on it with visibility across close to 20 million devices. The results are real.

The next step is making those results available to every customer, through the partners who serve them. Today, we’re announcing the general availability of Cisco IQ Partner Support – Standard.

Unlocking new managed services opportunities

Most infrastructure engagements still start and end with a project. Install. Walk away. Come back when something breaks. That model doesn’t hold up when threats move at machine speed and customers need real-time, continuous visibility.

With continuous visibility into a customer’s environment, partners can now build managed services that run all year. Ongoing, contracted engagements instead of one-time transactions. We built the tools to make it real: open APIs, ITSM integrations, and MCP Server support so Cisco IQ runs inside partners’ existing systems and AI agents. Partners get the same view Cisco has. One view means no more reconciling spreadsheets to agree on what’s in the environment.

That is what puts partners and customers in the driver’s seat together. Brian Wisler, VP of Modern Networks at Presidio, put it simply: “A collector gives you a photograph. Cisco IQ gives you a live feed.” It turns Cisco IQ from a lifecycle report into a current picture of risk.

Proactive risk management with new Resilient Infrastructure capabilities

With new frontier-level attacks, the window between a vulnerability’s disclosure and its exploitation has collapsed from weeks to minutes. An annual health check was never built for that pace.

Using the asset visibility they get from Cisco IQ, partners can use Resilient Infrastructure Services to assess risk in real time and build a prioritized remediation plan. Today, we’re adding two new Resilient Infrastructure Service capabilities: a Quantum Safe assessment and a Software End of Vulnerability Support (EoVS) assessment. They give customers visibility into two risk areas that routine patching alone can’t close. For partners, they open new value-added services to scope, sell, and deliver.

Continued innovation with Cisco IQ

Alongside these launches, partners and customers get access to new and powerful Cisco IQ capabilities including:

  • Priority bugs and software conformance assessments to reduce customer outage risk: Identify the software defects and outdated versions that could increase outage risk, while giving partners the evidence to scope upgrade and hardening services.
  • AI Assistant enhancements grounded in live device data to resolve issues faster: For Standard and Signature customers, Contextual Self-Serve Troubleshooting is informed by device diagnostics and Cisco TAC knowledge. Customers can also now create, close and escalate a TAC case from within AI Assistant, simplifying TAC case management and the Return Material Authorization (RMA) lifecycle.
  • Cisco Cloud Control Integration for one seamless motion: A frictionless experience with no additional authentication, enriching inventory with coverage, Last Day of Support and criticality data. This also surfaces quantum-readiness status, and enables one-click action on at-risk, controller-managed devices directly within Cisco Cloud Control.

Introducing: The Cisco Builders Challenge

The real question now is what partners will build. And we want to back them as they build it. That’s why we’re launching the Cisco Builders Challenge, a $1 million prize pool for partners who design and deliver new managed services on Cisco IQ. With global and regional prizes, we’ll be looking for creativity, impact and how well partner services scale. The challenge kicks off early next year, and we’ll share more details directly with partners in the coming weeks.

What comes next

The longer a customer runs on Cisco IQ, the more valuable it becomes. Every insight builds on the last. For partners, that means relationships that deepen over time instead of resetting with every project. Cisco IQ is the engine. Partners are the business.
