His expertise in strategy, marketing, and storytelling has been essential in shaping Cisco Marketing’s modernization and shift to software, services, and AI. At Cisco, Todd has spearheaded several transformative marketing initiatives that align with the company's focus on One Cisco. He has been a driving force behind the evolution of Cisco.com, transforming it into an award-winning digital platform that showcases Cisco's technology and innovation. With a keen eye for digital strategy and user experience, Todd has successfully led a three-year enterprise transformation of Cisco.com, reimagining it a vital resource for customers, partners, and industry professionals worldwide. He also led significant strategic shifts in modernizing Cisco’s digital media practice and marketing technology stack. Today, Todd has taken on a new role in Cisco Marketing, leading the ground-up creation of Customer Lifecycle Marketing. This new organization fills in an essential piece of Marketing’s ability to serve customers and drive growth and loyalty throughout a customer’s journey with Cisco. Leveraging AI-driven insights, pre- and post-sale customer data, and close partnership with Sales and CX, this new practice will improve Time To Value (TTV) for Cisco customers – ultimately helping them achieve their outcomes faster. In addition to his marketing leadership, Todd Shimizu is committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment within Cisco's marketing teams. He actively mentors aspiring marketers, encouraging them to embrace creativity and curiosity in their work. Todd's dedication to cultivating talent and promoting a culture of continuous learning not only strengthens Cisco Marketing but also supports the company's mission to connect and inspire. Todd is an active proponent for developing leaders with vision, compassion, and a drive for “everyone wins.” Todd and his wife, Tracey, live in the East Bay. They have two sons (Grant and Bryan) entering the workforce, a daughter (Lauryn) in her freshman year of college – and Piper, the labradoodle. Outside of work, Todd likes to spend his time running, traveling, and struggling with the guitar and piano.
