Cisco Industrial IoT Networking Portfolio

Samuel Pasquier (pass-KEE-ah) is head of product management for Cisco System's Industrial IoT Connectivity Portfolio, which is designed to meet IoT needs in manufacturing, oil and gas, utilities, transportation, mining, and the public sector. In this position he oversees the development of the portfolio's strategic direction, roadmap and investments. Under his leadership the portfolio has achieved 16 consecutive quarters of double-digit revenue growth, increased share in five markets, and doubled its overall revenue.

Mr. Pasquier joined Cisco in 2004 as a software engineer on the Catalyst 6500 team. Five years later he was promoted to team technical leader, where he designed and implemented several key features for the platform. He was then promoted to product manager of the team, where he oversaw the software roadmap for security features and network virtualization technologies, and management and monitoring functionalities. As Senior Manager, Product Management, for the Cisco Catalyst 6500E he adapted the product line to address evolving customer demands, including next-generation platform definition, sales enablement, and forecast for a $2B+ portfolio.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Pasquier directed product management for Cisco Catalyst Fixed Access switching, one of the company's largest businesses. This multi-billion dollar portfolio generated new business with one hundred thousand customers annually.

Mr. Pasquier holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from EPITA School of Engineering and Computer Science in France. He and his wife, and their two children, live in San Ramon, California.
