This is the final post in a three-part blog series. Read the APJC spotlight here and EMEAR spotlight here.

As 2020 winds down, I find myself reflecting on what sustained me through a difficult year. It won’t be the TV binging or extra time with my pets I’ll remember about 2020. I’ll think of the personal connections found amidst unprecedented circumstances and the relationships that emerged stronger – with my family, colleagues and, of course, our partners.

SecureX has made our great partner relationships even better.  Cisco Secure partner NWN is an outstanding example. Because NWN has been an early design partner in integrating and extending the functionality of SecureX into their own NWN Experience Management Platform, as well as building a collaborative SecureX online user community with over 500 members.  Together, we’ve opened up even more opportunities to learn, work and strengthen the partnership for our customers who need integrated security solutions.

“We’ve seen tremendous success with SecureX,” said Eric Bostick, CTO, NWN. “Our offerings strategy is rooted in ‘Secure by Design’, integrating best-of-breed Cisco capabilities with our services and IP to ensure our customers maximize the value and deliver the business outcomes they need. Our management, support and adoption services are further differentiated with the new SecureX platform.”

NWN also is integrating SecureX into their NWN Experience Management Platform (EMP) working back with our DevNet team.  NWN’s EMP allows their 1,300+ customers to have real-time visibility and control, and self-service capabilities. The SecureX integration enables them to pull custom analytics and insights for their customers, driving great wins. And customers are noticing!

“NWN and the SecureX integration helped UNC Pembroke’s small and mighty security team protect more than 80,000 devices at a given time, including 3,019 university computers, 3,500 licenses, 250 servers, as well as student and employee personal laptops,” said Don Bryant, Chief Information Security Officer, UNC Pembroke. Bryant and his team now have a holistic view of what is happening on the school’s network, when to best protect the community from cyberattacks and other security threats.  You can learn more about how NWN has helped UNC Pembroke achieve their business outcomes by watching their on-demand SecureX Online Workshop here.

After some much-deserved R&R over the holidays, I hope everyone can think about their security practice and be inspired by NWN’s powerful success with SecureX. When we lead with SecureX together with our partners, our customers have a better experience and drive stronger results.
