Cisco Bets on Austin: Celebrating Our New Downtown Office

Today marks a momentous milestone for Cisco as we open the doors to our brand-new office in downtown Austin. A Cisco Showcase, this office features the complete portfolio of Cisco’s future-proofed workplace technologies with a variety of real-time use cases.  

Nearly 30 Years in Austin: A Lasting Commitment 

Cisco’s footprint in Austin began in 1996 with the opening of our first office on Bee Caves Road. We later moved to Research Boulevard in North Austin and expanded with an additional office in The Domain. For nearly three decades we’ve been proud to be part of this dynamic city, and we’re honored to kick off this next chapter and our expanded presence with our downtown Austin office at 600 W. 5th Street. Celebrating alongside Cisco employees, industry partners, government representatives, and community leaders: Cisco is betting on Austin. 

Austin’s spirit of innovation, its deep talent pool, and its relentless optimism have continually inspired us, and today, we’re doubling down on our commitment to Austin. A New Cisco Showcase Space and Hub for Innovation, Collaboration, and Community 

This office opening is more than a celebration of bricks and mortar. It’s about creating new opportunities and continuing to serve our employees, customers, partners, and the greater Austin community. 

• A Growing Presence: This downtown location is now our third in Austin, giving teams across the metro area increased flexibility. 
• A Collaboration Destination: We know that coming into the office should be purposeful. Our new space is designed as a collaboration hub, with flexible rooms and cutting-edge technology, empowering our teams to connect, create, and thrive together. 
• A Showcase for the Future of Work: For the first time, Cisco customers and partners across the Midwest and Southern U.S. can experience a Cisco Showcase space right here in Austin. This is where they’ll see firsthand how Cisco technology powers hybrid work. Joining the ranks of our other Cisco Showcases in New York, San Jose, and Atlanta, Cisco customers and partners will now have the option to travel to Austin to see our future-proofed workplace technology come to life. Last year alone, hundreds of customers visited our existing Showcase sites. And as the saying goes “everything’s bigger in Texas”— we can’t wait to welcome even more visitors to our new space!

All of this is enabled by Cisco Catalyst 9500 and 9300X Switches, a high-performance, secure network foundation that brings the whole portfolio together.
