It is hard for me to believe it is already the Fall season, which means a new calendar year is not far away. This year we endured a lot together; there have been many revelations not only about your customers but the resiliency of your own business.

Cisco has been saying that a foundational strength comes from connecting, securing, and automating a business. I am confident you have seen this in the past year when addressing your customer’s needs.

Fortune Magazine and other experts see greater investment in IT Agility and resiliency in the coming year and for the next few years. If there is a new normal, it will be at the speed at which businesses and industries have or will change. There is no denying that the face of business is changing, and this is the time to be that beacon of knowledge, wisdom, and earned trust to drive comprehensive lifecycle leadership with your customers.

I have a great perspective seeing how Intent-Based Networking, Meraki, Cloud and Compute, IoT, and location-based analytics with all the associated security solutions provide this foundation to customers – and leads the way for high-margin automation opportunities. It is time for us to look beyond where we have been and move from survive to thrive by delivering our customers IT connectivity, security, and automation.
