To meet customer demands in a rapidly changing IT market, at Partner Summit, Cisco announced our strategy for Intercloud, our value-oriented global public cloud.

Cisco is committing a $1B investment and has formed a dedicated worldwide organization with three leaders for Development, Delivery and Sales for fast execution; Dr. Gee Rittenhouse leads Cloud Orchestration, and Faiyaz Shahpurwala leads Cloud Infrastructure and Services Delivery,  and Nick Earle leads the Cloud Sales and Go-to-Market.

To be successful we need to be creative and move fast – at cloud speed. Today, Nick Earle announced the newly formed Cisco Cloud and Managed Service Organization (CMSO) and his new leadership team to our internal stakeholders.  I am excited to be part of that leadership team and will be transitioning to my new role, to lead this new Cloud and Managed Services Partner Organization, over the next few weeks.

CMSO was formed to lead the transformation of Cisco’s go-to-market model for Cloud and Managed Services, enabling us to become the number one player in the world of many clouds, as well as extend our success in the managed services arena.

I believe strongly in Cisco’s partner-centric cloud strategy – it’s bold, unique and differentiated in the industry.  I also remain committed to helping our channel partners transform to truly deliver a hybrid IT experience for customers and successfully build a hybrid IT business model.

In this new role I’ll lead a team that will be driving our cloud and managed services go-to-market strategy through our partner ecosystem. As I’ve done over the years, I’ll be a partner advocate and make sure we continue to promote partner profitability and differentiation while we accelerate the adoption of cloud services.

With CMSO, Nick is bringing together a group of over 450 talented resources from across Cisco so we can focus our efforts around one strategy, with one common vision and in one dedicated team. This team’s focus will be to enable change and drive growth by working with the rest of our field teams and the partner ecosystem on all go to market activities around Cloud and Managed Services.

I’m very proud of my current Worldwide Channels team and all that we have accomplished together over the last twelve years, developing a world class channel model, unrivaled in the industry.  The team will now report to Bruce Klein, SVP Worldwide Partner Organization.

The channel organization is in great hands with Bruce, as you’ve experienced over the last 2 years. Bruce has always been committed to the success, the profitability and differentiation of our channel partners.

While I’ll be focused on this new partner effort, I’ll continue to work closely with Bruce to make sure we have an integrated partner and channel go to market to support partners in their evolution and their ability to deliver a true Hybrid IT experience. We are both committed to enabling the partner of the future.

I always strive to be transparent and be in conversation with you, and I know that will always continue.
