Announcement: Rev Up to Recert Bonus has been extended!
The last day to access and complete each Learning Path for Continuing Education (CE) credit is now August 31, 2023
(formerly August 17, 2023). In turn, the CE Portal will accept claims until September 14, 2023 (formerly August 31, 2023).
Buckle up, Cisco certification holders: It’s time to hit the turbo boost button and race to recertification. Starting July 19, 2023, you have 30 days to complete the Rev Up to Recert Bonus program and earn up to 56 Continuing Education (CE) credits for free.
We’re always looking at new ways to fuel our learning and certification community forward. Now, with the latest round of the Rev Up to Recert program, completing your recertification requirements is easier and more accessible than ever before. Keep reading for details on Rev Up to Recert Bonus, including how it works, what you need to know before you get started, where to find support, and more tips to help you make the most of this special program.
What is Rev Up to Recert?
The Rev Up to Recert program offers active Cisco certification holders a free way to earn CE credits. Each round of Rev Up to Recert highlights specific technology training which must be completed within a designated time frame. Once the required learning is completed, a claim must be submitted to the Continuing Education Portal.
Within the last six months, we’ve introduced multiple Rev Up to Recert programs across tech topics like Cybersecurity, Enterprise, and Python. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with each new round of Rev Up growing by the thousands.
If you ask us, the program’s popularity lies in the fact that participants must adhere to a very specific timeline. Also, we highlight newer Learning Paths, focus on helping you build high-demand skills… and well, it’s hard to pass on the chance to earn free CE credits.
So, we super-sized it.
Introducing Rev Up to Recert Bonus
Now that you understand what Rev Up to Recert is, it’s easy to understand why this 30-day sprint includes ‘Bonus’ in its name. Until now, the maximum amount of CE credits you could earn by completing a previous Rev Up to Recert round was under 15 CE credits. But with Rev Up to Recert Bonus, you can earn up to 56 CE credits. In just 30 days. For free.
How it works
Rev Up to Recert Bonus covers three different technology topics, each with its own respective Learning Path and unique number of CE credits. Once you complete a learning path, you must submit a CE claim to the Continuing Education Portal within the time frames noted below.
Rev Up to Recert Bonus Learning Paths:
- Implementing and Troubleshooting Networks Using Cisco ThousandEyes (ENTEIT 1.0) | 24 CE credits
You must complete the ENTEIT Learning Path by August 31, 2023. The deadline to claim your Continuing Education credits is September 14, 2023. Sign in to Cisco U. and start learning today. Get started now. - Secure Cloud and Network Analytics | 16 CE credits
You must complete the Learning Path by August 31, 2023. The deadline to claim your Continuing Education credits is September 14, 2023. Sign in to the Cisco Learning Network and start learning today. Get started now. - Understanding Cisco Network Automation Essentials (DEVNAE) | 16 CE credits
This Learning Path will not expire, and you’ll have 365 days to claim your CE credits. Sign in to Cisco U. and start learning today. Get started now.
Each Learning Path is completely free during the 30-day promotional period with the exception of the DEVNAE Learning Path. DEVNAE is included in the Cisco U. Free plan, and it’s eligible for up to 16 CE credits on an ongoing basis.
New job role? New product deployment? New work challenge? No matter where you need to go, Cisco U. will show you the way. Learn more in “Cisco U. 101: What are Learning Paths?” Watch now.
What you need to know
- First and foremost, you need to know if you are, in fact, Cisco Certified. When we created the Rev Up to Recert program(including this Bonus round), we designed it for active Cisco certification holders. To be clear, you don’t need to be Cisco Certified to take advantage of this free learning opportunity. However, completing Rev Up, or any other Cisco Continuing Education activities, for that matter—cannot be applied to expired Cisco certification(s).
- If you are actively Cisco Certified, visit the Cisco Candidate Portal to find your current certification status. Then, familiarize yourself with our Recertification Policy. If your certification expires sooner than is comfortable, there are other ways to complete requirements besides Cisco Continuing Education. Regardless of how you do it, recertification in and of itself is your responsibility.
- If your Cisco certification is expired, there is only one way to earn active status: You must complete the full exam process (again). Don’t let it happen. If you need to, revisit the Cisco Recertification Policy and/or check your certification status on the Cisco Candidate Portal.
- If you are not an active Cisco certification holder, I encourage you to explore the how Cisco certification can transform your skills, career—and even life. You never know—you could become our next certification success story.
- Use the Cisco Login/CCO ID associated with your active certifications across learning activities. That means you will use the same login for Cisco U. and/or the Cisco Learning Network. Trust me, this will make submitting your CE claim much easier later.
- You won’t earn… unless you learned. (And we’ll know.) You must complete the entire learning path and for the Cisco U. Learning Paths score a minimum of 80% on post-learning assessments for CE credits to be awarded.
- Learning alone doesn’t mean you’re on your own. Stop by the Cisco Learning Network and turn on notifications for the Rev Up to Recert community topic. This is where you can bring your questions and get help from our community of learners and experts, as well as our staff, as you navigate Rev Up activities and requirements.
Unleash the power of learning
Lifelong learners and Cisco certification holders, you until August 31, 2023, to earn up to 56 CE credits for free. The clock is ticking. And remember, in today’s fast-paced tech world, if your skills and knowledge aren’t moving forward, you’re falling behind. So, keep learning—and keep your certifications. You earned them.
Refresh your skills, refine your knowledge, and fast-track your recertification journey.
Rev Up to Recert Bonus is available now through August 31, 2023, 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Excelente oportunidad de recertificar.
I love these Rev-up, could CE credit be used for an Exam fee?
We understand that there may be some confusion regarding Cisco Learning Credits and Continuing Education credits. To clarify, Cisco Learning Credits serve a specific purpose and can be used to obtain certification exam vouchers. On the other hand, Continuing Education credits are only applicable for meeting recertification requirements.
For more information, read:
https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/exam-vouchers-program
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/certifications/continuing-education.html
Yes, it’s very helpful to have these credits to recertification or to get a new certification.
Absolutely, wonderful!
Hi Natarshia,
Can you clarify this?
Each Learning path says:
You must complete the ENTEIT Learning Path by August 17, 2023. The deadline to claim your Continuing Education credits is August 31, 2023
Just below all the learning paths it says:
This Learning Path will not expire, and you’ll have 365 days to claim your CE credits. Sign in to Cisco U. and start learning today. Get started now.
Can you confirm if we must submit the learning path for credit by August 31, 2023 or within 365 days?
SGT-Tech
You have 3 training in this current Rev Up to Recert.
The first one and the second one, must be completed by August 17th and claimed by August 31st.
The last one doesn’t have deadline but when completed, you will have 365 days to claim the CE.
This line: “This Learning Path will not expire, and you’ll have 365 days to claim your CE credits. Sign in to Cisco U. and start learning today. Get started now.”
Should not have a bullet in front of it, it’s connected to the last training.
I hope this answer your question.
Thanks a lot Chalosca & Cisco for the program. Would you please confirm, how long we have time to use the credit and seat for the exams after completing trainings by the 17th of August and claiming by the 31st of August? In other words, do the collected CE credits have an expiry date?
Many thanks,
The Rev Up to Recert: Automation/DEVNAE Learning Path can be taken at your convenience and must be claimed within 365 days, while the Secure Cloud and Network Analytics and Cisco ThousandEyes Learning Paths are designed to be completed within 30 days with the CE credits to be claimed by 11:59 PST on August 31, 2023.
The learning path that will not expire applies only to the below course: Understanding Cisco Network Automation Essentials (DEVNAE) | 16 CE credits
YES that’s correct.
this is amazing, great time to recertify!
Looks like some excellent programs to learn and get certified in.
Thanks for sharing..
This is a great program and the Cisco U materials used are wonderful!
Great opportunity for some credits – it has been a worry for a while on how to get 80 credits for CCNP.
Great resources we’ve been waiting for. Thanks !
Very awesome.
Thanks, that’s great opportunity to get some points and recertify if you strugle to get some time to learn for exam.
This is great! Super opportunity to get recertified and learn new things. Can’t wait for the time I have to recertify. Thank you Cisco!
Rev Up to Recertification a win win. Now thinking about earned ce credits for exam vouchers is that possible?
Thank you @cisco for providing the Rev Up to Recert program! This falls just in line with re-certifying my certifications!
Love this way to help my recertification
Excellent opportunity to recertify
Great to see this program again and this time its huge with 56 CE points , there is no excuse not to upskill yourself .
Would be great if you get that option all the time.
Brilliant, thanks! 🙂
Yay! Absolutely exciting!!! 🙂 Thank you very much!
This is a great opportunity, just as my CCNP is due to expire soon! You won’t earn unless you learn is a good incentive too!
Great opportunity to recertify, thank you!
Great opportunity to learn & recert!
Awesome offer! Looks like I will be busy doing the courses
Wow, this is huge. Combined with the other Rev Up to Recert challenges you can get enough CE’s to renew a Professional level cert. That is certainly very generous.
Great opportunity to recertify, thank you!
This is an excellent way to renew your certification and learn new skills at the same time!
Love to see there are free offerings for CE credits. I look forward to the trainings every quarter.
That is great !
Excellent opportunity to recertify. Thank you Cisco!
This is a great way to keeps up with what’s going on in the industry while having the opportunity to renew your recertification. This is great because you can do it in chunks during the year.
I appreciate the facilitation of learning by including the overview of incentives and hyperlinks to the paths.
This is great news.
This is an awesome way to help in renewing Cisco certifications.
great stuf, easier recertification. Thanks for sharing
Useful info and a good way to start collecting re-cert credits, hopefully there will be more.
What an excellent opportunity. I will certainly be looking into this for sure.
It’s great to stay up to date with learning new things and keep up with new expectations. Thank you all Rev Up to Recert TEAM 🙂
Since when cisco and apple merge?
Great way to update knowledge and renew certifications at the same time
This is great timing. I’m ready to re-cert 4 Aug 23!!!
This is very good news! Cheers!
I have completed two of the courses to re-certify. How do I claim my CE’s? That part is unclear
Hello Wes,
You should have received a completion email that details how to claim your Continuing Education (CE) credits. Which two courses did you complete?
Excellent opportunity to recertify and learn something new in the process.
I love it!
I admit that it’s a bit of a challenge going through this mid-summer, but I love the overall rev-up program and keeping things interesting and utilizing Cisco-U in the process.
Helps me in my recertification journey.
Hello Rev Up to Recert Bonus support,
My current 3 CCNP (Enterprise, Security, and Collaboration) and CCNA and about 20 Specialist certifications will expire on 07/18/2025.
Please advise if I take any of the 3 options for the total free 56 CE how can it be applied since it must be completed by 08/31/23. if I apply it then it will extend my current certifications to only 08/31/26.
Currently, I have active 78 CE credits in my account and I just need 2 CE. But I am waiting to get close to the expiration date 07/18/25 to recertifications to 07/18/28.
Are you going to offer any Rev Up to Recert Bonus later on hopefully in 2025.
Look forward to hearing from you and have a nice day.
Michael ABRAHIM
Congratulations on earning your CE credits!
Once you complete a qualifying learning activity, the rev-up program will be triggered from the date of completion. You’ll want to claim your credits within the deadline. If you need more credits, activating the extension closer to your recertification date is best.
We cannot confirm additional rev-up program cycles at this time. However, we plan to continue running the program in the future. Stay connected to the Rev Up community forum space on the CLN, or sign up for email communications from learning and certifications to ensure you don’t miss out on any opportunities.
Thank you for choosing our program. If you have any further inquiries, please reach out to us.
Hey Michael,
I’m not from Cisco (wait for their Answer too).
You already have 78 CE, once You’ll earn 16/16/24 You’ll automatically recertify.
You’ll have remaining i.e 54 in your balance, these will count towards next Recertification (once You’ll fulfill requirements) till CE’s deadline i.e 3 Years from Earned date.
I earned 55 CE (5+6+11+6+12+15), 15 specifically Rev Up to Recert: Python.
Which means Cisco might run such Bonus program in future, I’m Sure based on past Experience.
Looks like a really good oportunity.
This is a great opportunity! I need to get started immediately! Thanks Cisco.
Great learning platform with nice opportunity to collect some CE points.
Thank you for this opportunity!
Just Enrolled on the courses a couple of days ago. Really good way of recertifying

Awesome news to get recertified while learning.
Great content at a great price!
Is very intersting becuase can help to improve and learn about their cisco portafolios, I like it very well, the matter is just the time.
A great value add for the IT community.
Offering a way for active certification holders to earn free Continuing Education credits towards re-certifying is an amazing thing for all engineers.

Great to recert
Excellent opportunity to recert
Thanks, a hard challenge!
Time to earn some recert points! You got this!!!
Great great initiative
Great opportunities to stay up-to-date! Technology’s moving so fast, these updates are quite necesary!
This is a good initiative to engage learners and rewarding with CE credits.
This is a very big opportunity for me to learn more about cloud. I have come across Cisco ThousandEyes without really taking an interest in this. I will sure make use of the window of opportunity to get all the three free trainings.
Excelente oportunidad de recertificar.
Excellent news indeed!

Excelent Oportunity!!!!
Rev Up to Recert (I am not an active Cisco certification holder,) can i get CE
First and foremost, you need to know if you are, in fact, Cisco Certified. When we created the Rev Up to Recert program(including this Bonus round), we designed it for active Cisco certification holders. To be clear, you don’t need to be Cisco Certified to take advantage of this free learning opportunity. However, completing Rev Up, or any other Cisco Continuing Education activities, for that matter—cannot be applied to expired Cisco certification(s).
if You’re CCNA Certified You might not get access to CCE Portal (I am not sure about it), Give it a try and update here what You got.
Good day.
I appreciate your sharing.
I’ve finished one of the tracks, but I haven’t yet received the email from Continuing Education (CE) confirming the CE points.
Question.
How do I find the CE Point?
How can I submit an application for CE points for re-certification?
These specifics are unclear.
Thank you
Hi,
First of all thank you for these great education paths and CE points to help with recertification.
I completed Rev Up to Recert: Secure Cloud and Network Analytics on 23rd of July, 2023 but I still have not received email with instructions on how to claim CE towards my CCNA.
I will try to do it on my own and see how it goes.
Just wanted to give heads-up in case I don’t manage to do it.
Thank you!
Go to ce.cisco.com and submit a claim for the training that you have completed.
Can i use these credits to recertify CCIE ?
Absolutely YES, but you need 120 CE credits to recertify your CCIE certification, once you have these 56 CE credits, you’ll find options in your CCIE portal that can help you recertify along with the existing 56 CE credits (once you’ve earned them).
Good morning,
My certification expired 1 day after this program was announced :\
Can I recertify with it expired?
Lucky One …
Once Certification Expired You’ve to Recertify.
3. If your Cisco certification is expired, there is only one way to earn active status: You must complete the full exam process (again). Don’t let it happen. If you need to, revisit the Cisco Recertification Policy and/or check your certification status on the Cisco Candidate Portal.
Clearly mentioned in the Post above.
Hi,
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. I’ve managed to finish the Thousand Eyes course and got an email to apply for the CE credits. Unfortunate my attempts to reach ce.cisco.com fails with the error:

Hi, I was wondering if DEVNAE1.0 and ENTEIT1.0 are still free as it shows that I need to upgrade the subscription to Cisco U Essential and cost of 1800 USD while I could have access to Secure Cloud and Network ANalytics?
IW
– ENTEIT 1.0
– DEVNAE 1.0
both courses are FREE to access You don’t need to upgrade at all.
then how do we access them?
There’s a dollar sign on them and trying to access leads to the upgrade your subscription page.
I am receiving the same dollar sign and request to upgrade my plan to access.
same here , asking to upgrade my plan
Same to me. 🙁
Same here. Has anyone figured anything out?
It works now for me (DEVNAE being free)
Our team is diligently working to address the issues that arose with access to Cisco ThousandEyes Learning Path. We are confident that we will find effective solutions to fix the problem and ensure a smooth experience for our users.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Hi,
Can you advise how can I claim credits for Implementing and Troubleshooting Networks Using Cisco ThousandEyes, please ? I tried to claim it using https://ce.cisco.com/ but it is not working.
Regards,
Bogdan
I completed the “Rev Up to Recert: Secure Cloud and Network Analytics” and submitted for Continuing Education credits but was denied due to “unknown user”
I ensured the same Cisco ID was used
Please advise
Hello! How are you doing ?
If i don´t have any certification active , may i use the CE points into another way ?
Thanks a lot and congratulations for this program .
AFAIK CE credits can only be claimed and used if you already have a certification, I believe it has to be active as well.
More time that’s awesome.
This is awesome. Could always use CE credits.
That’s a great incentive to keep on learning!
Rev Up to Recert: Secure Cloud and Network Analytics is not a valid Continuing Education class/program according to the Continuing Education Item Catalog and therefore is not accepted for Continuing Education credits. If this is not supposed to be the case please advise of the workaround/solution. Thank you.
Hi Colin,
The Learning Path is valid. Please type out the full name, “Rev Up to Recert: Secure Cloud and Network Analytics,” instead of copying and pasting.
You can find a full set of instructions here: https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/question/0D56e0000DDNdo3CQD/rev-up-to-recert-bonus-claim-instructions
If you have any more questions, you can ask in that forum.
Thank you.
It worked when I tried it 4 hours later. Not sure why the system wasn’t taking it earlier. Thanks.
As this specific Rev UP offer has been extended it might be good if you also where to update the text on the individual trainings to reflect this. At least the Rev Up to Recert: Secure Cloud and Network Analytics still states that it ends on the 17:th of August despite this post saying that it’s been extended to the August 31:st, I have not checked on the ThousandEyes learning.
Follow up on this. Only the training on the traditional Cisco learning platform states a date for completion.
“This program begins on July 19, 2023. and ends on August 17, 2023. The last day to claim your credits is August 31, 2023.”
Great learning opportunity!
I’m currently having issue with Secure Cloud and Network Analytics. It’s showing 98.8% completed but all the activities is 100% completed. Is there something I’m missing cause I can’t find that 1.2% activity to complete it?
This happened to me as well. I had to open up each of the subsections to find the one that wasn’t fully completed.
Thanks for Adding these, they were fantastic
Great way of getting re-certified.
Hi,
I have completed my Rev-Up but its 2x time but when i submit it, I get the denial from ce.cisco.com that its not getting submitted.
Regards
Hi,
So just to confirm, the DEVNAE path is free even after the 31st of August?
My cert. doesn’t expire until January 2024, and I am only 2 CE short of the 30 needed.
I could complete this course a bit later this year and re certify, correct?
Thanks
That is correct.
Recertified :), thanks to these courses.
Thanks Cisco.
I will qualify to revert via the continuing education program, but this course was done via my work account and my CCNA qual is against my personal account. How do I join the two together?
Recert not revert
Open a case with certification support.
Hello Team,
I have completed two learning paths toward recertification with 40 points total.
Qst: How do I apply the point accrued to get recertified, this is not clear to me.
I have an active certification till 22nd August.
Many thanks
According to cisco you will receive an email with instructions but you can also go to ce.cisco.com, log in go to submit items and fill in the details beginning with the course name (use the autocomplete to find it)
For instructions on how to claim the CE credits please see this link. https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/question/0D56e0000DDNdo3CQD/rev-up-to-recert-bonus-claim-instructions
I have completed and successfully claimed for DEVNAE. I have also completed Secure cloud analytics and claimed for it. I have only one day before my CCNA expires. What happens if it takes the full 5 business days to be approved. Will I be granted the extension?
Hi All, just a question,
I have finished two of the three courses of continuing education program, with a total of 40 credits.
Can I obtain my CCNA 200-301 recert, without remake the exam ?
thankyou
Yes you can. Once you accumulate the needed CE credits to recert your level of certification the system should automatically process it, it usually takes 5-7 days for it to do so, to extend your certification from the date of the completion of your last taken training.
felt like 1000 hours
Hello,
I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to share my recent experience regarding continuous education courses. I completed both the DEVNAE and ENTEIT courses, accumulating a total of around 40 credits. However, it’s been approximately three days since my completion, and I’m yet to receive any confirmation or claim email.
The urgency stems from the fact that my current status is set to expire in just 6 days. I’m reaching out to request your kind assistance in expediting the processing of my course credits. The prospect of losing my status and having to start from scratch is something I’d like to avoid.
I truly appreciate your attention to this matter and understand the significance of timely responses. Ensuring the continuity of my current status is important to me, and I’m hopeful that we can find a resolution.
Thank you for considering my request. I’m eagerly anticipating your response.
Best regards,
You can find a full set of instructions here: https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/question/0D56e0000DDNdo3CQD/rev-up-to-recert-bonus-claim-instructions
If you have any more questions, you can ask in that forum.
Good evening, Please I have a CCNA certification that will expire in 6days time, I just submitted two courses for CE points, But not response has been received so far, meanwhile I am told if the CE point is not validated before the certification expiration, then that end the whole process.
Do you Have CISSP Training
The announcement says: : “Rev Up to Recert Bonus is available now through August 31, 2023”.
For some reason all history and access have been lost from today Aug, 18th 🙁
Does anybody knows if there is a bug?
Hi, if my CCNA certification expires next year May and I recertify through the Rev Up to Recert, does my certification extend from the date of completion of the courses? I’d like to know how I can use the Rev Up to Recert to extend my certification from May next year, please.
The renewal is from the date of the completion of your last finished training. There is currently no way to select when to use the CE credits, they will be processed automagically when you have accumulated the the required number of CE credits.
My active CCNA certificate is not visible in the Cisco Candidate Portal (https://cp.certmetrics.com/cisco/en/credentials/status).
What do I do?
Open a case with certification support.
I finish all the requirement and nothing HAPPEN. I tried to submit and I get errors that I do not have certificate on file. I can not even access my certificate unless I go to credly
I hope this answer your question.
great to have this opportunity presented… when are we going o experience the next one.
Hello,
Was is the link to make the ce credit claim?
Thank you

I finished Rev Up to Recert: Cisco ThousandEyes yesterday. I did however not receive an email. The status in Cisco.U is quit confusing. Yesterday I reached 100% now the counter stops at 35%?? What do I need to do in order to claim my credits as I did not receive an email?
Hi Jacko,
I haven’t received the email too but, I just followed the procedures and it work , within a days it was approved.

This is Awesome, I love the Rev Up to Recert. I want to have a new learning path that is going to be come after this this month ? that we can use for recent ?
I love this opportunity to recertify my Cisco Certificate. One question though. I need some more understanding on the 5 point thing. Guess my question is will all the points that you earn be credited to your recertification when ever your claim for them is approved, or are they submitted in increments (i.e., 5 points until you reach the expiration date of your certificate?
If I have completed a course to 100% before the due date and submitted the claim for CE credits accordingly, is there a way to follow up to see why it is still showing pending on ce.cisco.com? The course in question is “Rev Up to Recert: Secure Cloud and Network Analytics” and all steps were followed per the email received upon course completion. Thank you to anyone who can provide any insight!
I only learned about it today. If I completed the course before September 14th, can I still be eligible for the CEU credit?
Hi Natarshia,
I managed to complete all the 3 learning paths. I would like to know when the next Rev-up program cycle is.
It is a great opportunity to get CE points, recertify and learn new things.
Thank you so much Rev Up to Recert TEAM.
Any chance it would get extended for those who missed it?
Hello,
I passed the Rev Up to Recert Thousand Eyes Troubleshooting on Aug 25, but never received an e-mail for the completion, like I did for the Secure Cloud.
How can I get credit for this, by Sept 14 2023?
Thank You
I missed out both .. is there more after Sep 30, or this is once and never again, Cisco ?
Hello,
I need 36 CE credits for my recertification. My certification is going to expire on 16th Dec’23. Could you please guide me if there are any free courses available which could help me to earn 36 CE credits.
Thank you.
