Tapan Mehta

Tapan Mehta is a seasoned marketing and business development professional with an emphasis on Health IT and Consumer Health (healthcare providers, payers, medical devices, and life sciences). With over 20 years of marketing, business development, and sales experience, Tapan brings a wealth of knowledge and domain expertise in the healthcare field. Tapan is an effective leader who strives for excellence and innovative thinking in the development and marketing of business solutions. As Cisco’s Head of Global Healthcare Marketing, Tapan is responsible for managing the development and marketing efforts for healthcare solutions in the areas of clinical workflow improvement, telemedicine, patient safety, regulatory requirements, and patient engagement. His team is responsible for developing the overall strategy, execution, and go-to-market plans for Cisco’s business within the Healthcare sector. Tapan is passionate about helping customers and the healthcare industry transform its processes and workflows by leveraging technology, with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of patient care with improved business outcomes.

Prior to joining Cisco, Tapan worked at Altera Corporation and Intel Corporation in various management capacities. Over the years, Tapan has expanded his skills in the areas of strategic marketing, product planning, business development, product management, product marketing and sales. His broad set of skills enables him to execute and deliver on complex business problems in a timely manner. He has developed and managed a broad range of advanced technologies including wireless, security, data center virtualization, cloud computing, video, SaaS, and Internet-of-Things (IoT).

Tapan is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he studied electrical engineering with a minor in business administration. He has spoken at several healthcare conferences such as HIMSS, ATA, and Medical Device Connectivity and continues to be an active member in the healthcare community.
