Susan Runowicz- Smith is Product Marketing Manager for the Firepower 2100 Series Next Generation Firewalls.

Before joining the Cisco Security Team in 2014, Susan spent most of her marketing career in the semiconductor industry, specifically in Electronic Design Automation-- the software tools that engineers use to create chip designs.

Her career shift to cybersecurity provides no less of an interesting challenge than negotiating 3 nm semiconductor design rules with IP and silicon suppliers. In her new role as Firepower 2100 Product Marketing Manager, she has relished the shift to firewalls, advanced malware and all things related to simple, open, and automated security.

In her spare time, you will find her plucking ripe veggies from her garden, whipping up a gourmet meal in her newly remodeled kitchen, or walking the streets and parks of Los Altos with her husband and 2 energetic huskies.
