Subu Subramanian is Vice President and General Manager in the Software Platforms Group (SPG) with overall business responsibility for Platforms Automation and Customers Enablement (PACE), which delivers analytics and automation software platforms enabling business digitization and Fast IT. He is also responsible for the development of technology platforms that digitize and automate Cisco Services offers.
Subu joined Cisco in 1998. Subu was initially responsible for Voice Solutions for Service Providers and subsequently created the first Program Management Office (PMO) at Cisco for driving Service Provider Solutions Integration. He moved to the Cisco Services organization in 2005 and has since held several leadership roles spanning SLAs, Business Operations, Migration Services, OSS/BSS and Assurance Services.
Prior to Cisco, Subu held a variety of engineering and business management positions for fourteen years at AT&T. At Bell Labs. He played a key role in AT&T’s entry to Internet Services, and launched AT&T’s Managed Internet Services for business. As director of network operations, he was responsible for defining and building AT&T’s Common IP backbone network.
Subu holds a PhD in Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India.
