Shannon Leininger is the SVP of Global Partner Sales Ecosystems and the Splunk Channel Chief at Cisco, where she is dedicated to transforming Cisco’s global partner ecosystem. A visionary leader, Shannon is developing a world-class partner sales organization that drives strategic initiatives across a diverse ecosystem of Global System Integrators, Independent Software Vendors, Managed Services Providers, Original Equipment Manufacturers, AI ISVs, Cloud Marketplace, and Hyperscalers. Her team focuses on accelerating partner-driven growth across the unified Cisco and Splunk portfolio, incubating and scaling new and existing routes-to-market tailored for the AI era, and strengthening Cisco’s global market presence.
In her 18-year tenure at Cisco, Shannon has held numerous high-impact leadership roles. Most recently, as President of Cisco Canada, she led one of the company’s top-performing global markets and a key hub for technological innovation. Under her leadership, Cisco was named the #1 Great Place to Work in Canada for 2023 and 2024. Previously, Shannon served as Area Vice President for Cisco’s U.S. Public Sector, where she spearheaded digital transformation initiatives for government and education entities, leveraging mobility, data and analytics, IoT, and cloud to modernize citizen services.
An innovative leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, Shannon has built a legacy developing high-performing teams and advocating for the next generation of talent. Her career-long commitment to diversity is further reflected in her previous executive sponsorships for Pride Canada, Women of Cisco Canada, and the Americas Inclusion & Collaboration Initiative, where she spearheaded efforts to embed inclusive practices into the recruitment, development, and engagement of a diverse global workforce.
Prior to Cisco, Shannon held sales leadership roles at Toronto-based software company Platform Computing (now part of IBM) and at Ernst and Young Technologies (EYT) leading the Asia Pacific technology division expansion strategy. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Government and Politics from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
