Nuno Varandas is Senior Director of Client Experience Services (CES) Central Operations. He is passionate about Our Cisco People Deal Manifesto. From bringing together the Talent and Workforce of the future to empowering a Customer Centric Culture, he sees the threads of opportunity within our organization, bridges them together into a connected whole - synchronizing efforts, inspires others to extend their thinking, and drives to create shared success that will benefit everyone.
Based out of Portugal, Nuno is responsible for spearheading strategic shifts and accelerating our Cisco Operations model to continue to offer segmented, value added services to deliver a unique and differentiated experience to our clients.
With over 20 years of experience in diverse industries and functions such as Finance, FP&A and Customer Operations, Nuno is distinguished within in Operations. He has and continues to lead global teams in developing operational practices and customer, partner and sales support organisations that both support and enable our business to improve the client experience.
Through his career, he has attracted, developed and built operations teams that enable true business outcomes across the regions. He recently lead a Business Transformation Office that designs, operationalise and executes new offers to market such as Deal Management, Software Operations, Services renewals and Asset Management practices.
Nuno has been with Cisco since 2000. He holds a contagious enthusiasm and is a passionate leader with expertise in transforming the value operations can deliver to scale up and help our clients in achieving their business goals. Through community, leadership and a business mindset, he likens each effort to the art of blending coffee: Create, Innovate and Improve to produce a cup that is superior to each single component alone.
Nuno holds a University degree in Business Administration from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon, Portugal and has over 21 years of Accounting, Sales Finance and Customer Operations Management experience in multiple industries such as Auditing, Consulting and IT. Before joining Cisco, Nuno was a Senior Auditor, PwC in the Finance Banking and Insurance sector, with responsibilities across Portugal, Guinea and Mozambique.
Nuno is an avid football supporter of his home country team SL Benfica and is a zealous traveller and explorer. He enjoys spending his weekends cycling and discover little gems in his community together with his wife and two children.
