Muthu Varadharajan is a senior systems engineering leader of Cisco Global Operation in GES Central. Segment Muthu supports a team of systems architects across eight states in the Midwestern US and helps drive Cisco's $350M business globally. Muthu is passionate about empowering people to become the best version of themselves. Likewise, he believes that teams operate best when their foundation is rooted in a strong culture where members share the same values and passion for relentless, ambitious execution.
Muthu began his career at Cisco in 2006 as a software engineer in Bangalore. He relocated to the United States only two years later, where he joined the Cisco Sales Associates Program (CSAP) in North Carolina's Research Triangle Park (RTP). To date, Muthu has held various positions in Systems Engineering and Management, supporting Global Enterprise Theater (GET), GES, and US Commercial segments. Having lived in Bangalore, RTP, Chicago, and now in Denver supporting global customers, Muthu brings a wealth of experience leading teams worldwide.
Muthu holds a dual CCIE in Wireless and Security, CCNP, CCDP, CCNA, CCDA, and DEVNET Associate, as well as SCJP certifications, and firmly believes that Cisco engineers are the best in the industry.
Outside of Cisco, Muthu enjoys hiking in the Rocky Mountains, playing tennis, badminton, running, and spending time with his family. In addition, protecting nature and wildlife is very close to his heart. Muthu is an active supporter of World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF) and leads the Cisco Green Team in Colorado, focused on making a positive environmental impact and sustainable change.
