Sophia Danvers has over 11 years of experience in driving both product and corporate marketing programs in the telecom industry. As a Global Marketing Manager for Cisco, she is tasked with developing strategy and implementing programs to drive market awareness and increase market share for the company’s cloud offerings to the public sector.

Prior to joining the Enterprise Mid-Market group, she was the Marketing Communications Manager for the Cisco Service Provider Mobility group, responsible for global marketing communications strategy for Cisco’s Mobile Internet Solutions (RAN Backhaul, Mobile Packet Core and Service Provider Wi-Fi), including branding, content development, messaging, advertising, analyst engagement, thought leadership, product, customer and field marketing. While working with the service provider team, Danvers also managed the marketing communications strategy and integration plans for the Starent acquisition, and the Mobile Infrastructure Test, an independent test by the European Advanced Networking Testing Center (EANTC) and Light Reading to validate the performance of Cisco’s IP Mobile Infrastructure to support 2G, 3G and LTE mobility standards.

Danvers joined Cisco in 2006 after the Scientific Atlanta acquisition, where she served as Marketing Communications Manager and Global Events Manager, responsible for the company’s branding, product positioning and customer engagement strategy at proprietary and Cable and Broadcast industry events including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and the National Cable Telecom Association’s (NCTA) Cable Show.

She holds a dual bachelors degree in English and Communications with a minor in Journalism and a masters degree in Sports Marketing and Management from Florida State University.
