Ranjit Nayak is a Senior Marketing Manager in the Cisco UCS marketing team. Prior to joining Cisco in 2010, he consulted at Rackspace Inc. in the development of their cloud computing strategy. In 2007, he co-founded eVapt Inc., a provider of cloud billing and metering services, and managed product marketing functions for the startup. Prior to eVapt, Ranjit was a Senior Engineer Manager in the Tivoli Software division at IBM Corporation where he was a member of the team which envisioned and developed the first IT Service Management products.
He also worked in various technical consulting roles within the Websphere Application Server group at IBM. Before joining IBM, Ranjit led projects at a startup that specialized in firmware customization for laptops and server systems. Ranjit earned his MBA and MS degrees at The University of Texas at Austin. He has a BS in electrical and electronics engineering from Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Suratkal, India.
