As you may have noticed earlier this summer around the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, Cisco is making quite a splash in the sport of golf lately. As the Official Technology Sponsor of the United States Golf Association and its Championships, we are working to drive innovation in golf and create new ways for fans and players to engage with the game.

Today, I’m excited to share a new partnership with one of the bright, young stars of the sport, Maverick McNealy. The 23-year-old McNealy spent this past season on the development Korn Ferry Tour, where he finished in the Top 25 to earn a spot on the PGA Tour for the 2019-2020 season. We’re thrilled to support McNealy as he embarks on this exciting next phase of his career!

McNealy is a 2017 graduate of Stanford University, where he majored in Management Science and Engineering and became the top-ranked amateur player in the world. A leader amongst his peers on the Korn Ferry Tour, McNealy brings a unique perspective to the discussion around the future of golf and innovation, and we look forward to collaborating with him throughout our partnership.

But of course, it’s about more than just golf.

We also share a common commitment to positively impacting the lives of others. McNealy recently launched a “Birdies for Education” initiative to support a non-profit organization that provides high-quality, free education materials for students around the world, regardless of geographical location or socioeconomic status.

“I am so excited to partner with Cisco, a company that shares not only my passion for the sport of golf, but also for education and positively impacting the lives of others,” McNealy said. “I am grateful for Cisco’s support, and I look forward to working with them to positively impact the game that we both love.”

We are so excited to watch and support McNealy as he heads to the PGA Tour, and be sure to keep an eye out for the Cisco patch on his left sleeve during all his tournaments!

Beyond the proud partnership with McNealy, Cisco is driving innovation in the golf world by bringing immersive experiences to the PGA Tour Superstore for pros, shoppers, and golf-enthusiasts alike.
