Cisco Chief Technology and Strategy Officer Padmasree Warrior offers a commentary on the Internet of Everything today on CNBC.com.
She states in part:
“The Economist magazine cover story recently explored whether innovation was dead. Is it possible that after five years of a tough economy with a slow recovery that we’re done when it comes to new ideas? …
… There are indicators now that we’re about to launch into the next era, driven by what people are calling the “Internet of Everything” or IoE. It’s the next stage of Internet growth with the intelligent connection of people, process, data, and things. …
There is a lot at stake here: $14.4 trillion to be exact—just for the private sector. That’s the amount that our research shows could be gained globally in the next decade from the intelligent connections.” …

Greetings,
‘Innovation’ is the natural outcome of this ‘New Age of Austerity’, helping us to do ‘more with less’.
To my mind, we are reaching an era of realizing the promise of connected world thru ‘Internet of Everything’. This is leading to ‘Convergence of Everything’ ( CoE). We will see the assumptions and contexts that were fundamental to today’s economic activity ( most of it being driven by inefficiency or limits) will change.
What will be the new world like:
It will be a world where Economic Activity will be characterized by ‘Collaboration & co-creation’ to create ‘Value and Wealth’. It will be more open, transparent and driven by Collaborative Entrepreneur.
The closest example is of the one defined by late Dr C. K Prhalad in his book ‘New Age of Innovation’: N=1 and R = G world.
The ‘hidden hand’- will find it very hard to find a place to find.
Regards
Sandeep
