Whether or not you’re packing your suitcase to join us at Cisco Live in Amsterdam, I want to share an online certification exam prep resource that’s available right now, free for a limited time. Allow me to introduce you to Cisco U., your new certification exam prep mentor.
What does a mentor do? A mentor guides you as you work through learning new things. We’ve built Cisco U. to do just that.
Very briefly, Cisco U. is a new learning experience that guides you to the content you need. Cisco U. personalizes your learning experience with machine learning and natural language processing recommendations, curated Learning Paths, modular courses, and more. Cisco U. will officially launch this spring, but you can now sign up for early access to Cisco U. to get free rein to play in the catalog.
Fun fact: Cisco U. includes certification exam prep Learning Paths
One of my favorite things about Cisco U. is Learning Paths. Cisco U. Learning Paths are designed to lead you through the content you need for a particular job role, technology solution, or—you guessed it—certification exam. And Learning Paths can save you time through pre- and post-assessments. (I’ll talk more about that feature below.)
Cisco U. Learning Paths are available for five certifications:
- Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA)
- Developing Applications and Automating Workflows Using Cisco Core Platforms
- Implementing and Operating Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies
- Implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services
- Implementing and Operating Cisco Security Core Technologies
Here’s the really cool part: the structure of certification Learning Paths mirrors the exam.
So, when you open a cert Learning Path, you’ll see tracks that correspond to the main sections of the blueprint. Each track has modularized courses that correspond to sub-sections of the blueprint. That way, you can hop around easily to focus on the areas of the exam that need your attention. At the beginning and end of tracks, pre-assessments and post-assessments challenge your knowledge to check your proficiency in learning objectives.
Scoring well on the pre-assessment will save you time in completing the course. Last (but certainly not least), within courses, you’ll find video training and our beloved hands-on labs—so you can learn like you’re already on the job.
