We had an incredible week at this year’s Cisco Live Europe in Barcelona! Thousands of attendees from all over the world explored our latest Cisco IoT innovations.
At Cisco Live we announced some IoT game changers – the industry’s first integrated network architecture that extends intent-based networking to the IoT edge, two next-generation networking platforms – Cisco Catalyst IE3x00 Industrial Switches Rugged Series and Cisco IR1101 Integrated Services Router Rugged, Cisco Validated Designs that provide blueprints for faster IoT deployments, new IoT Development Center on Cisco DevNet, and IoT specialization for partners.
Crowds packed our World of Solutions IoT booth to learn about these latest innovations. As one Cisco attendee put it, “Being here at Cisco Live, you feel like you’re in the space of the future. You’re seeing what’s coming five, 10, 15 years from now.”
There was also incredible excitement from the many speaker sessions. David Goeckeler, EVP and GM of Cisco’s Networking and Security Business, shared unique insights on the transformation happening within Cisco’s architectures, the industry, and the opportunities ahead for IT professionals in the keynote. And joining him on stage, were Liz Centoni, SVP and GM of Cisco IoT, and Cisco IoT customer Dr. Juergen Tusch from innogy. At the Innovation Showcase, we took a deeper dive into our IoT solutions with an Innovation Talk attended by hundreds of customers. The talk featured demos from Cisco IoT experts Liz Centoni, Susie Wee, Vikas Butaney, and Albert Mitchell. View on YouTube.
During our IoT customer panel, Samuel Pasquier, Director of Product Management for Cisco IoT, moderated a discussion where European-based customers, Engie Solar, Enedis and Festo shared how Cisco’s IoT solutions have helped them overcome challenges and achieve key business outcomes.
We hosted over 17 IoT Breakout Sessions, covering a wide range of IoT technologies and topics. And bringing IoT to life with more real-world scenarios, Cisco TV Broadcast Studio featured five live segments that highlighted Cisco insights, customer and partner success stories. We had a fun and interactive Tech Field Day session led by Tim Szigeti, Principal Technical Marketing Engineer for Cisco IoT, where he shared how Cisco extends intent-based networking beyond traditional carpeted environments to outdoor IoT environments (i.e. parking lots, ports, airports). He also showed a demo of how this can be achieved with the same networking management tools, including Cisco DNA Center and Cisco SD-WAN. Watch the replay here.
