The New Year is upon us and I personally have many things to celebrate in this glorious 2020. The year, we’re taking our son to Disney for the first time in March 2020. September 2020 marks my ten-year anniversary with my husband. And in January 2020, I get to attend my very first CiscoLive in Barcelona! Needless to say, I’m ecstatic about it all and I hope to meet and see all of you in Spain in just three weeks.

CiscoLive Barcelona is just around the corner – January 27 – 31, 2020 and it is being held at the glorious Fira Barcelona, one of the “largest and modern fair venues in Europe, characterized by its design, functionality and sustainability.”

Cisco Live is Cisco’s world-renowned annual customer and partner conference designed to build the foundation for your digital future by providing you with education, connections, and inspiration.

Well that sounds like a great time to me! And after surfing the sessions over the holiday, I wanted to share my top five discussions that I will plan to attend and report back to all of you post-event.

If you’re attending CLEUR this year, feel free to join these sessions as well, you won’t want to miss! Happy scheduling!

And please note: by registering for this session, it does not guarantee you a seat. Seating is available on a first come first seated basis.

Wednesday, January 29 | 02:45 PM – 04:15 PM

Featuring: Tobias Mayer, TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT.SALES, Cisco Systems, Inc. – Distinguished Speaker

Over the holiday break, I was fascinated (and ok, slightly terrified) of stories about the Darknet, so this Security breakout session certainly piqued my interest. With privacy continuing to be such a hot topic as we move into 2020, this session shares insight into technologies you can use to anonymize your network traffic, such as Tor (The Onion Router). Tobias will showcase how to use the Tor browser for access, detail exactly how the Tor network is working and even more fascinating, learn how we can find hidden websites and give examples of some websites…thus entering “THE DARKNET” together. This session is for anyone interested in anonymization techniques all while having a little fun in the darknet.

Feel free to comment below and share your thoughts on other sessions that you’re excited to attend! Until then, see you in Barcelona!
