DevNet‘s been around for less than five years, but we love it when our community tells us that we’ve been around forever.

Interested in knowing what a DevNet year is like?

Let’s head down memory lane and take a look at everything we’ve built together this year.

January

We kicked-off our #TeamDevNet world tour with a very special #DevNetExpress, hosted by our friends in the Systems Engineering organization. We ran a two days Data Center Infrastructure DevNet Express, where attendees got to learn all about the programmatic capabilities of Cisco Data Center Infrastructure for compute, network, and storage.

DevNet members get ready for DevNet Express in Barcelona,
a great start to a busy week at Cisco Live, Europe.

Then, it was time to unveil the NEW DevNet Zone in Barcelona. It wouldn’t be a DevNet Zone without our content. Where we have expanded our workshops and classrooms based on popular demand!

We always appreciate your questions and your feedback.

February

It’s always nice to spend quality time with the Team. Edwin, Patrick,
and Casey help us kick the year off again, celebrating Lunar New Year.

The DevNet Express picked up steam around the world.  Here are some pictures from a special Partner training event in Germany.

March

Le Tour du Monde continues! Where we took and expanded our DevNet Zone in land down under (cue Men At Work). Cisco Live Australia was a complete success! It is always a pleasure to grow our DevNet community and see the impact community members make.

We were happy to welcome you back to DevNet Create, and to celebrate our first ever DevNet Creators. We also introduced Camp Create! Camp Create is for developers by developers, looking to work with a DevNet mentor, to architect and build a solution using Cisco technologies and APIs. We are planning on redoing Camp Create this year, so if you are interested, sign up!

DevNet was invited to host the first ever #CiscoChat LIVE! We started the conversation and training around Design Thinking ahead of Cisco Live, US.

June

This was a major milestone month for us, as we celebrated a community 500,000 members strong! Cisco Live US in Orlando kicked in, and we had our largest DevNet Zone ever, where Network Engineers turn into developers for a day. In the DevNet Zone, everyone is a Developer!

September

As much as we travel to bring DevNet to as many countries as possible, we also spend a lot of time helping people build and grow locally. You’ll find us at meetups, hackathons, and local Community events.

You will see that we are spending a lot of time showcasing the creativity and innovation of our Partners.

Make sure you are participating in Partner Ecosystem Exchange.

December

We wrapped-up our world tour by bringing a new DevNet Zone experience to Cisco Live Latin America, Cancun. It was a reunion with friends! If you’d like to work with DevNet, read this detailed account of our week, written by the amazing Moises Rubio.
