We believe Cisco’s position as a leader confirms that our investments in HyperFlex continues to differentiate our technology innovation in the HCI market. Forrester specifically notes in the report that the HyperFlex technology stack is highly dependable which, in our opinion, is one of the most critical customer buying criteria. As customers are looking modernize datacenters and private clouds with operational simplicity, Cisco’s HyperFlex provides a stable, solid and dependable platform for the most mission critical enterprise applications.

Continuous Innovation is the key
We believe this year’s Forrester WaveTM report proves that Cisco is pushing the industry forward with hyperconverged infrastructure. We have added new capabilities to HyperFlex that address our customers datacenter modernization initiatives. Since, the last Forrester Wave for HCI in 2018, we’ve introduced new technologies and solutions to:
- Address emerging edge use cases with an ultra-light two-node HCI cluster with SD-WAN integration.
- Simplify the use of Kubernetes with HyperFlex Application Platform for containers.
- Run additional workloads and mission critical applications including End-2-End Epic EMR Applications, Video Surveillance, Oracle RAC clusters, SAP HANA and more.
We continue to believe that an integrated, turnkey approach is required to both modernize the present and simply the future. The deep integration of the HyperFlex Data Platform with the Cisco UCS compute and networking architecture not only delivers consistent performance for applications but removes many points of complexity through the simplified deployment, management, and holistic support of an HCI appliance. We believe this approach enables IT teams to move faster, better support DevOps teams by offering curated, turnkey environment for cloud native applications, and quickly respond to requests from the business across their core, edge, and cloud environments.

Businesses need to assure the digital experience in order to deliver the best customer experience. With the introduction of Cisco Intersight Workload Optimizer, we’ve addressed the need for a closed-loop operating model between IT and App Ops teams. We’re enabling IT teams to have a real-time view into application performance and correlating that with the infrastructure resources needed. This assures application performance while maximizing resource utilization by delivering visibility up to the app and down through all the layers of the infrastructure stack including HyperFlex.
