Yoshiyuki Hamada

Yoshiyuki Hamada is Managing Director of Cisco Security Sales, leading the security sales specialists organization across Asia Pacific, Japan and China (APJC) region. In this role, Yoshiyuki is responsible for creating and delivering the security strategy and sales growth. Together with his team, he is focused on one single mission – securing customers in an increasing threat landscape. Previously, he was responsible for driving business growth and innovation for major telecommunications & mobile service providers, broadcasters, as well as cloud and media providers in Japan. In this role, he played a critical role in helping build customers' architecture and business transformation in the 5G era. Before that, Yoshiyuki was Client Director for NTT Group Operations at Service Provider business in Japan from 2019, where he was responsible for driving the business strategy and collaboration with NTT group companies including global operation companies. A part of Cisco since 2016, Yoshiyuki has held various leadership roles including CTO (Chief Technology Officer) for Japan where he drove various breakthrough initiatives including the joint development of IoT solutions and a Smart City project. He has also supported Japan's national cybersecurity initiatives as a member of the Cisco Security & Trust organization. Prior to joining Cisco, Yoshiyuki held numerous management positions with Colt Asia (formerly known as KVH Co., Ltd.), and has worked Sumitomo Communications Engineering as an engineer for optical transmission system development and implementation. Yoshiyuki holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electric Engineering from Nihon University. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, watching his favorite professional baseball team, and spending time with his family (including his loving dog and cat). He lives in Yokohama with his wife and son.
