Manoj Sudhakara is a Software Technical Leader at Cisco, working on Cisco Extended Detection and Response (XDR) as part of Splunk Security. His work sits at the intersection of security product engineering, AI, and detection engineering. Right now, Manoj is all in on the AI game.
He started as an intern at Cisco 12 years ago and has been part of Product Engineering ever since, contributing to multiple products from zero to GA across the Security and Cisco UCS portfolios. Before XDR, he spent several years on Cisco Secure Endpoint (EDR) and the Endpoint Visibility Module, doing deep Windows endpoint, kernel-driver, and telemetry work. He has also worked on datacenter products, including Cisco UCS servers, for several years prior to security.
Outside of work, Manoj is happiest outdoors in the Rockies — biking, hiking, and paddleboarding. Last year he trekked to Everest Base Camp, and Annapurna Base Camp is next on the list.
