Kristie Ornelas is the Vice President of Customer Experience (CX) Marketing and Communications. Kristie joined Cisco in 2018 and since then, she has led her team to set the tone for the CX organization by crafting stories and building a brand that brings CX to life in a simple and compelling way. A gifted writer, Kristie has used her storytelling expertise from various marketing and communication roles to evangelize our Cisco story, demonstrating the value of Customer Experience to key stakeholders. Kristie has also successfully driven efforts to positively inspire our people and cultivate our extraordinary culture through many initiatives such as the quarterly all hands, adoption of CX Communities platform, ShapeCX round tables, community give back participation, and much more. With 25 years of experience in the technology industry, Kristie is experienced in the strategy, development, and execution of integrated programs tied to revenue targets. Prior to Cisco, Kristie was at Salesforce, where she led the Planning & Communications for their Customer Success Group. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing the strategy development, execution methodology, internal and external communications, and content creation across all mediums. Previously, Kristie has held leadership positions at Juniper Networks, where she managed the business planning and operations across the Sales, Services, and Partner organization for Americas Enterprise. In this role, she also conceptualized the communications strategy, created content for the sales team, developed go-to-market strategies, and successfully established a customer acquisition program. Kristie is motivated by making a difference and by solving problems quickly and collaboratively. When she’s not at work, Kristie enjoys volunteering at her daughter’s school and partaking in creative activities like flower arranging and arts and crafts. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Marketing from California State University, Fresno.
