Ish Limkakeng

Ishmael (Ish) Limkakeng is the Senior Vice President of Cloud Networking responsible for Cisco’s cloud networking solutions portfolio. He sets the strategy for Cloud Networking and leads the engineering team in transforming our customers’ data center infrastructure to a modern cloud native, hybrid cloud architecture. Ish is an accomplished leader with broad business expertise, deep networking technical knowledge, and proven experience in the scaling of operational capabilities from start-up to enterprise. Prior to this role, Ish was Senior Vice President of Cisco’s Customer Solutions Marketing where he drove messaging, promotion and positioning of the Cisco portfolio. He served as the executive champion orchestrating and interconnecting resources across Sales, Marketing and Engineering to ensure a clear and consistent marketing strategy for Cisco’s technology portfolio. He also led Cisco’s Customer Experience Product Management organization as Senior Vice President. Under his leadership, the team built a comprehensive portfolio of software and service offerings to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Over his 23 years at Cisco, Ish served as the Vice President, Product Management of Insieme Networks prior to its acquisition by Cisco, and Senior Vice President of the Data Center Business Group afterwards. He was instrumental in leading the product and marketing functions across the full Nexus line of switches and Cisco’s Intent-Based Networking solutions for the data center, including Cisco ACI, Cisco Tetration, and the Cisco Network Assurance Engine. Earlier in his Cisco tenure, he was the Vice President of Sales, Networking and Security; Vice President, Strategy and Planning, Enterprise Networking Technology Group; and Vice President, Product Management, Desktop Switching. Ish holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Bachelor’s in Science, Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree from Harvard Business School.
