Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) 8704 Enterprise Infrastructure, Security Huey Ong is the Managing Director of Cisco Security Sales for the APJC (Asia Pacific, Japan and China) region, leading the security sales specialist team. In this role, he is responsible for creating and delivering the security strategy and driving sales growth across the region. He has over 25 years of IT experience in Silicon Valley and Asia, combining strong business leadership with deep technical expertise. Prior to joining Cisco, Huey played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding Worldwide Technology’s (WWT) presence in the Asia-Pacific region. He built sales and operations teams and held leadership roles spanning engineering, architecture, management consulting, and partner alliances. Before relocating to Singapore, he was part of the founding team that launched WWT’s presence in the San Francisco Bay Area, driving customer success, revenue growth, and regional expansion across the U.S. West Coast. Huey was involved with two Silicon Valley startups: he contributed to Pari Networks, which was later acquired by Cisco, and co-founded Ditto Biomedtrics, an FDA-registered medical device company pioneering wireless diabetes management as a platform. Earlier in his career, he worked in network and security architecture roles with AT&T and Verizon, after starting in technical support for ISP routers and gateways built on Cisco platforms. Huey graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and has been a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Enterprise Networking & Security for over 24 years. He has been based in Singapore since 2016. In his personal time, he enjoys music, surfing, martial arts, and values spending time with his family.
