He is responsible for defining and steering the long-term strategy for Cisco’s data center, mobility, IoT, and carrier network portfolios, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Originally from the Seattle area, Dan now resides in Washington, D.C., where he plays a key role in guiding Cisco’s strategic initiatives. While he's focused on matching promises with products, his Webex meetings are often joined by the resident cat, Pickles, who is never shy about sharing her opinions—usually in the form of enthusiastic yodeling meows—on everything from strategy to timelines.
