Aruna started her career as an engineer at Hewlett Packard and has held executive leadership roles in engineering and in marketing. Following her 17 years at Hewlett Packard, she led Marketing and Strategy for Software Defined Networking at Juniper Networks and then Product and Solutions Marketing at CA Technologies. Aruna continues to build her industry expertise and has recently joined Cisco as the VP for Collaboration Marketing.

Aruna is a published author, executive, and expert in DevOps and Digital Transformation. She appears regularly in major media such as Forbes, Wired, and Information Week, and is in high demand as a keynote speaker, having presented at industry conferences such as DevOps Summit Sweden, Gartner, CloudExpo, CA World, and HP Discover. She co-chairs DevOpsExpo for Syscon Media and plays an active role in leading the agenda for DevOps Expo every year. Aruna is also an independent blogger for the Forbes Technology Council, a private invite-only group hosted by Forbes magazine.

She created the “Women in DevOps” panel, which invites female industry leaders in DevOps and IT to share best practices, describe their challenges and victories, and nurture future leaders.

Aruna is a published author and has two books in the area of continuous testing; DevOps for Digital Leaders, and The Kitty Hawk Venture.

In 2016, she was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Silicon Valley by the San Jose Business Journal and received the 2016 Most Powerful and Influential Woman Award from the National Diversity Council.

Aruna holds a master’s degree in computer engineering and an MBA, both from Santa Clara University.
