Andrew has over 25 years’ industry experience, he works as part of Cisco’s Industry Solution Group where he is an architect in Cisco’s Transportation team. Previously he was the Chief Solution Architect for Transportation working on solution architecture for rail, intelligent transportation systems, Connected Vehicle and Mass Transit for the last 5 years as part of Connected Industries Group. Andrew is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and Cisco Live events worldwide. Andrew joined Cisco in 2001 as a Systems Engineer in the UK team, where he worked with a variety of end customers in the retail, education, manufacturing and transportation industries helping support and realise their network transformation aspirations, went on to become the Global SE for GlaxoSmithKline and then on to be the technical lead for Industrial environments in EMEAR where he was introduced to the rail sector working on the industry transformation for Network Rail in the UK. Prior to joining Cisco Andrew graduated from the University of Wales (Newport) in 1990 in Instrumentation and electronic control systems where he worked in the Nuclear power division for the Central Electricity Generating Board (National Power). He is a full TOGAF certified Enterprise Architect, a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, IEEE, INCOSE and SAE.
