Andre Smit is the leader of Global Collaboration Sales for Cisco. Through the power of collaboration technology to connect people, his team is accelerating our customers’ journey to digital transformation.
Smit’s team works closely with cross-functional groups and architectures to define our customers’ cloud, mobile, and collaboration strategies to achieve workplace transformation and deliver new customer experiences. This go-to-market team is also preparing our worldwide partners for digital transformation by helping them transition to the cloud and new software selling models.
Since Smit became the collaboration sales leader in March 2015, he has helped build Cisco’s recurring revenue with the introduction of the Cisco Collaboration Flex Plan, a subscription offer for selling the entire collaboration portfolio, and create a $5 billion business.
Smit has 22 years of experience in global sales at Cisco. He began his career as a systems engineer in South Africa and quickly advanced to the roles of regional manager of EMEA and Emerging Markets and, prior to his current role, managing director of data center sales in Asia Pacific.
Smit has an actuarial degree from the University of Edinburgh in the UK and a master’s degree in arts from the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
