A multi-billion-dollar threat, ransomware has become an insidious business, with cyber criminals using increasingly sophisticated approaches to distribute malware and compromise organizations’ data.

The headline-grabbing WannaCry attacks of 2017 showed that, given the global nature of business and communication, such attacks spread quickly to wreak havoc on businesses ranging from healthcare organizations and pharmaceutical companies to financial services firms and educational institutions.

No sector is immune.

Protecting users and data from ransomware and other types of malware requires an array of solutions, which can add increasing complexity for management, support, and maintenance.

Cisco Security delivers an integrated architectural approach to strengthen defenses against malware with detection, visibility, and intelligence. A key component is Cisco Umbrella, the industry’s first secure internet gateway in the cloud, which has repeatedly demonstrated it provides the first line of defense against threats on the internet. Delivered from the cloud, Umbrella is the easiest way for an organization to protect all of its users in minutes. And our partners are a key to delivering that simplicity.

Partnerships that improve clients’ security posture

Our global network of partners delivers a sales force that can proficiently address the needs of an organization, offering Umbrella as the first step of visibility in your security stack.

Logicalis, a Cisco Global Gold Certified Partner, helps clients do more than select a security solution. They collaborate with clients to craft a security strategy that relies on the value of cloud to strengthen security. Their passion for cloud technology drives them to deliver next-gen security, with Umbrella playing a key role in delivering that value to their clients.

By partnering with Cisco, Logicalis helps their clients’ limited staff be more efficient, blocking ransomware, malware, phishing, and command-and-control callbacks by stopping malicious domain requests and IP responses at the DNS-layer, over any port or protocol. And, with an increasingly mobile workforce around the world, Umbrella helps partners protect their clients’ users anywhere they go, on and off the corporate network.

The Logicalis approach

An effective security strategy doesn’t consist solely of a collection of solutions. It’s a process that evolves over time, out of necessity, to keep ahead of the cyber attacks.

With Cisco, Logicalis provides their clients a simple, effective security solution — leveraging Cisco Umbrella — that’s easy to understand, deploy, and use, resulting in:

  • Rapid implementation, with core functionality available typically in less than one day
  • Consistent protection everywhere, including roaming users and branch offices
  • Reduction in malware
  • Faster identification and investigation of real threats by reducing the number of security events
  • Quicker time to value due to ease of deployment
