As Cisco Live, one of our annual, regional training, networking, and education conferences, wraps up in Milan, Italy today, we are pleased to report that our first-ever Academy Day drew more than 8000 Cisco Networking Academy students, both in-person and online.

Cisco Networking Academy prepares students to design, build, manage and secure networks – to become the future architects of the Internet of Everything.

Leading industry and academic visionaries from Cisco, and Professors from Osservatori ICT & Management of Politecnico di Milano discussed the future of internet technologies and how they will change the way we work, live, play and learn.

In one session, students were taken to a journey through space and time to understand how a “selfie” taken on the stage traversed each part of the Internet to get posted to Facebook and viewed on a smartphone. Students also heard about job opportunities and success stories of young professionals and Networking Academy alumni. Six hundred students attended in person and more than 7700 attended online sessions.
