Cisco 64G Module: Enabling The Most Power Efficient SANs
Current sustainability efforts require power-efficient solutions that can deliver more bandwidth at a reduced wattage. Cisco recently introduced 48 ports on the Cisco MDS 9700 64-Gbps Fibre Channel Switching Module, a real technological breakthrough. Increased bandwidth, combined with approximately 40% decrease in power consumption makes it about 7 times more power efficient than its predecessor.
