I personally really look forward to hearing from guest speaker Kristian Larsson talk about automation and how it is a critical success factor for Service Providers, as well as my own area of expertise the data center and how this is becoming more distributed because of drivers like 5G, virtualization and capacity demands. Service Provider Transformation: The world is transforming and nearly everything is going digital. Networks are transforming and Service Providers can lead the way. This session will look at the challenges and opportunities for you to succeed.
Guest Speaker: Kristian Larson is a Senior Expert IP Routing and System Management at Deutsche Telekom, a true automation Ninja. In this session Kristian will provide insights to his experience of how automation is a “need to have” and core challenge to solve for all Service Providers.
IP and Optical Trends: Powerful innovations in Coherent Digital Signal Processing are enabling stronger business cases behind, and new architectures for, physically integrated IP/optical solutions, at various layers within provider networks. This interactive session will consider the current and potential benefits and challenges of such options, in the context of variables in for example the size, fiber access and level of service convergence across different networks.
Security: Service Providers face significant challenges with network complexity, new technology introduction and managing integration into legacy infrastructure. This session will discuss the current and emerging threat landscape, threat actors and their actions towards SP’s. We will discuss the challenges that 5G introduces from a security perspective and how the concept of security by design, threat intelligence and a trust centric approach can give you the advantage that you need to gain control.
Telco DC Architecture for 5G and MEC: This session will define the key Architecture tenets that the Telco Cloud Infrastructure should follow in order to help Service Providers in their journey towards 5G and Edge Computing. We will also describe how this has been applied in a concrete customer use case.
5G Mass Scale Networking: Get your Access, Edge and Core networks ready for mass scale networking and benefit from simplification at scale, multi-dimensional programmability, built-in trust and flexible consumption enabling you to build a network that fits your business needs.Managed Ent NW incl SD WAN: This session will be looking at Cisco’s Software Defined Networks Strategy for B2B managed services, SD-WAN, SD-Access and SD-DC which provides the opportunities to deliver end to end orchestrated service and combine with additional SP value add services.
