Learn About Cisco NFVI

February 12, 2016 - 0 Comments

The market opportunity for new service creation, cost savings and greater agility is rapidly evolving. Increasingly, virtualization capabilities are a major part of this evolution. Service providers have a tremendous opportunity to transform their business, their architecture, and their customers’ experiences by utilizing advanced Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) capabilities across domains and specifically in data center environments.

To capture these opportunities, service providers are looking for new and innovative ways to use their existing infrastructure investments. Additionally, they seek to capitalize the new opportunities that NFV, software defined networking (SDN) and cloud-based solutions bring to their businesses. They see virtualization, SDN, the creation of new services, and the migration of existing services to the cloud as ways to unify and simplify the customer experience. These innovations can also increase service velocity, drive operational efficiency and simplicity, and enable them to innovate.

LightReading commissioned the European Advanced Networking Test Center team to evaluate Cisco’s NFVI solution late last year and their full report is available here. A short video infographic that captures the essence of the tests: performance, reliability, Multi-service and Single Pane of Glass Management is now available. Share the infographic with your colleagues and start the conversation in their migration to cloud based services!
