Today, we recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of our customers in the APJC region by highlighting five who have been selected to receive a 2022 APJC Cisco CX Customer Hero Award. These awards are presented to CX customers to celebrate their stories of innovation and inspire others with their incredible successes. These customers were selected from over 40 nominations from throughout APJC and we are honored to showcase them here.

APJC Inclusive Future for All Award: University of Melbourne

This award recognizes a customer that is making great strides towards the goal of an inclusive future for all, with the assistance of Cisco CX. The University of Melbourne, a premier research university in Australia, set out to create a world class connected campus for students online and in person after the COVID-19 shutdown, to make the hybrid experience a huge success. Through collaboration with Cisco CX, they achieved their goal to be on the cutting edge of campus infrastructure with Cisco DNA Center. Now, students and faculty are tightly connected from wherever they are located– a connection that enriches learning, teaching, and research. APJC IT Operational Excellence Award: HCL Technologies Limited

This award goes to a customer that has strengthened and enhanced IT operations, leveraging Cisco CX. HCL Technologies Limited is a multinational information technology services and consulting company with a multi-architecture portfolio from Cisco to support both internal and external requirements of its business. In collaboration with Cisco services, HCL Technologies Limited strengthened security across the network and optimized IT operations. They can now restore services more quickly and have accelerated rollouts through automation. They improved their upgrade success rate to 99.5% and software conformance to 91%. APJC Innovation Award: DENSO CORPORATION

We present the Innovation award to a customer that is realizing amazing business outcomes through Cisco Success Tracks and CX Cloud. DENSO is a global manufacturer of automotive components, offering advanced automotive technologies, systems and products. With CX Cloud, DENSO now has comprehensive visibility into their network devices and reduced risk with automated software upgrade recommendations. They have improved the time for OS upgrades from 6 months to just 5 days. APJC Security Trailblazer Award: Newgen Software Technologies Limited

The Security Trailblazer Award celebrates a customer that has strengthened its security posture to proactively protect and defend its IT infrastructure, leveraging Cisco CX. Newgen, the leading provider of a unified digital transformation platform, is a multinational company with employees in over 40 countries. They needed to ensure security of their complex infrastructure, including employees working from home. Newgen worked with Cisco CX to de-risk the full lifecycle of the advanced cyber threat problem—gaining deep visibility, context, and control to rapidly detect, contain, and remediate advanced threats if, or when, they evade front-line defenses. APJC CX Customer Hero of the Year: Kasikorn Business – Technology Group (KBTG)

This top award recognizes a customer that has undergone an amazing digital transformation through collaboration with Cisco CX. KBTG, part of a leader in innovative banking, Kasikornbank, set out on a digital transformation journey, which included enhancing their security operations center. The project entailed strengthening cyber security detection and response, including threat hunting capabilities, to better respond to new and advanced threats.
