No two Marketing Velocity events are ever the same, but this year’s Americas and APJC sessions brought changes that none of us expected just a few months ago. (If you missed the sessions, you can replay Marketing Velocity Americas and Marketing Velocity APJC at your convenience.)

Our original plans for these live events in Melbourne and Austin had to be quickly reconfigured. Luckily, our company is built for this and our internal teams are resilient, much like our partners, so we created these virtual events to bring you the same amazing Marketing Velocity content, while maintaining a safe, social distance to keep us healthy.

And every challenge is also an opportunity, right? I am thrilled to see our partners stepping up, meeting us and pushing us to the next level!  Being the leading marketers in the industry – this is what we do. And at Cisco, we want to be the bridge to possible, in good times and challenging ones. Most importantly, we want to be sure we are doing our part to help support you, your customers and the communities in which we all live and work.

Even with the last-minute moves to a condensed virtual event, we have plenty of highlights to share from this year’s Marketing Velocity.

More than 800 partners in North and South America joined our broadcast to hear all about Cisco’s Growth Marketing Strategy from Michelle Chiantera, Vice President of Americas Growth Marketing, while Michael Hopfinger, Director, Americas Segments, Industries and Partner Marketing, recognized the achievements of seven of our partners who were the recipients of the Marketing Velocity Innovator awards. And yours truly delivered a keynote on how we can Market our Edge: Driving Differentiation in the New Normal

Meanwhile, more than 1000 APJC partners joined a dynamic session with Mark Phibbs, Vice President of APJC Growth Marketing and a deeply informative presentation from guest speaker Thomas Barta about his “12 Powers of a Marketing Leader,” along with my keynote.

I’m delighted we are able to deliver valuable insights to our partners at Marketing Velocity. It also allowed us to get feedback from many of you about the content and virtual delivery. That type of feedback helps us shape future events and create new tools and processes designed to get you all the information you need, when you need it!

Speaking of putting your feedback to use, I’m excited to share that we’ve recently been awarded the prestigious Marketing Return on Integration Honor winner for the Forrester/SiriusDecisions Summit 2020! We’re being recognized for the integrations and simplification of our Marketing Velocity platform. None of that would have been possible without your input to continuously improve our partner marketing efforts. Thank you for your support – we share this award with all our partners who drive us to be better every day!

All of this goes to show that Cisco and our partner ecosystem are in a unique position to help customers do great things. Let’s keep it up! And while we look forward to working with you all again in person, we’ll keep working hard to enable you and your team as successful marketers. We’ll take this time to just do it virtually!
