Data Protection With a Bit of a Country Twist. Cisco at CommvaultGO

October 3, 2018 - 0 Comments

It’s that time of year again! Time for CommvaultGO. Cisco is excited to be participating in Commvault’s annual conference as a diamond sponsor in one of America’s most well-known and popular cities Nashville, Tennessee.

Before we get started, as always, I must share a little trivia for all of those with the Cisco travel bug:

  • The tallest skyscraper in Tennessee, the 33-story AT&T Building is known around the world as the “Batman Building” because its facade resembles the shape of the action hero’s mask
  • Oprah Winfrey got her start in television at Nashville’s WLAC-TV while she was still a student at Tennessee State University.
  • The city built a full-size replica of the Parthenon for the World Exposition of 1897.

Ok, at this point you may be wondering what Cisco will be doing in Nashville. Hold tight, I will be sharing all of the exciting details.

Over the past year Cisco and Commvault have worked together to develop solutions that help customers scale, manage, and optimize their data without compromise. In September of last year, we launched ScaleProtect™ with Cisco UCS® and it was the highlight of our presence at CommvaultGO, including the keynote in the video above.

Well….This year it gets even better.

Cisco at CommvaultGO

Cisco and Commvault together understand that today, digital transformation initiatives are leading your organizations to look for ways to gain more value from data while controlling costs. Cloud providers and web companies are using innovative approaches for developing and operating data center infrastructure while web-scale strategies offer the simplicity, scale, performance, and resiliency that enterprises need, with significantly lower TCO.

ScaleProtect™ with Cisco UCS® is Commvault Hyperscale Software and Commvault Complete Backup and Recovery running on Cisco UCS. This solution delivers unprecedented scale-out flexibility and agility with uncompromised data management. All with cloud-like economics and true hybrid cloud capabilities to scale, manage, and optimize your data wherever it is. However, it doesn’t stop there. The engineering teams at both Cisco and Commvault have worked hard so ScaleProtect with Cisco UCS supports not only Cisco UCS but Cisco Integrated System for Microsoft Azure Stack, Cisco HyperFlex and many of our Converged Infrastructure platforms as well.
