For those of you attending Microsoft TechEd Europe in Barcelona, you have an opportunity to hear how Microsoft and Cisco are collaborating to create a shared, elastic resource pool of storage, compute, and networking in Microsoft’s Cloud OS.

Maurizio Portolani, Distinguished Technical Marketing Engineer, will be joining Robert Reynolds, Principal PM Lead, Windows Azure Pack, Microsoft, during the main Windows Azure Pack session Tuesday to show how an application-oriented policy delivers operational simplicity for the infrastructure team and can provide a converged stack for key Microsoft applications.

ACI-TechEd

When: Tuesday, 28 October, 2014 1:30PM – 2:45PM
Where: Hall 8.0 Room B1
Track: CDP-B332 Azure Pack Roadmap and Ecosystem

Microsoft Azure Pack provides a single pane of glass for definition, creation, and management of Microsoft’s Cloud Service. Microsoft Azure Pack integrates with System Center and Windows Server to help provide a self-service portal for managing services such as websites, virtual machines, and service bus. Cisco ACI is a provider service for Microsoft Azure Pack.

Using Microsoft Azure Pack, tenants can use the self service portal to define and consume ACI profiles and set application policy. ACI delivers that policy via OpFlex to Microsoft’s virtual switch providing a common automated policy enforcement mechanism across the virtual and physical network infrastructure for the tenant.
