Anthony "TonyG" K Giandomenico
Senior Director
Cisco Talos Threat Intelligence
Anthony K. Giandomenico is a cybersecurity practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in threat intelligence, incident response, detection strategy, and security program development. His work focuses on helping organizations understand how real adversaries operate and using that insight to build practical, resilient defenses.
A core part of his approach is adversary-informed defense—leveraging threat intelligence, offensive techniques, and attacker behaviors to guide defensive strategy, improve detection engineering, and streamline investigation and response. He is known for helping teams cut through marketing noise and focus on the capabilities that actually improve security outcomes.
Across his career, Anthony has held roles in consulting, security operations, threat research, and leadership, including building and running his own security consulting business. He has developed multiple incident response programs, built MDR SOC capabilities, and created structured, repeatable threat-hunting workflows used by teams of varying maturity. A passionate educator, he has spent years building workshops and training programs that challenge participants to "play both sides" mastering offensive techniques to sharpen defensive instincts. He is recognized for translating complex topics into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and executive audiences.
Today, he works within Cisco’s Talos Threat Intelligence organization, where he helps build intelligence-driven security and threat-hunting services and frequently presents adversary TTPs to customers and leaders to support informed, practical defense decisions.
When he isn’t busy outrunning adversaries, you can usually find Anthony testing his physical limits in Ironman triathlons or diving into the latest wonders of Agentic AI and offensive security research. He essentially spends his time either running away from his problems or teaching AI how to find them.
