Peter Granger

Senior Sales Transformation Manager

Peter Granger was previously IoT/Industry Analyst Relations Manager in Cisco, responsible for relationships with key analyst companies (451 Research, Analysys Mason, Forrester, Gartner, IDC, MachNation, Ovum, etc), representing Cisco Business Units (BUs), Marketing, and Cisco Corporate focusing on the Internet of Things (IoT) and Industries.

Before that Peter was previously Senior Industry Partner Marketing Manager in the Cisco Global Private Sector Industries group, the managing editor of the Cisco Energy Industry Blog, and a founding creator of all the Cisco industry blogs.

Peter's new role is a Senior Manager for Cisco, driving the transformation of the company towards incremental business opportunities supplementing the normal business-as-usual revenue streams. As such Peter is recognized as a thought leader and subject matter expert in steering the salesforce towards a more business-level sales approach, helping them transform to more senior CXO-style business outcome orientated customer conversations.

Peter has been at Cisco for more than ten years with experience in the Cisco Channels organization in the UK, Cisco Strategic Alliances in the US, and presently Cisco Industry Marketing at Cisco Corporate. He has previously held management positions at Sun Microsystems, now part of Oracle, and IBM.

Peter holds an Honors Degree in Science from the University of Durham in the UK, and a post-graduate Diploma in Business Finance from the ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), a UK Finance MBA.

He is married with two children and lives in the Sacrament/Bay Area, California.
