Nathan Sherrard
Solutions Engineer
Cisco US Federal
Nathan Sherrard is a technologist at heart and has been with Cisco nearly 20 years. He focuses on U.S. Federal Government customers and partners and has taken a strong interest in IPv6 given the history of mandates in that space, particularly the most recent OMB Memorandum for an IPv6-only future. He enjoys teaching and presenting on topics he is passionate about, including at Cisco Live, government forums, and podcasts.
In addition to his certifications (CISSP, CCNS R/S, CCDP, CCNP Security, AWS CCP, Meraki SS, DevNet), Nathan loves learning the details of protocols that make the Internet work, and you will find him reading RFCs, playing with Wireshark, and scouring the Internet for everything about IP[v6], DNS, HTTP(1.1/2/3), QUIC, TLS, and developments in cryptography.
Nathan has lived in Northern Virginia for nearly his entire life and holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Duke University.
