Nick Edwards is Vice President of Product Management for the Cisco Switching business—the global leader in enterprise switching. He leads the strategy and development of today’s portfolio and tomorrow’s innovations, ensuring Cisco switches are smarter, more secure, and built for the AI-driven future. Nick and his team are focused on creating products that customers not only rely on but love—because they help them move faster, operate more efficiently, and deliver meaningful results for their teams and organizations. Nick brings decades of network and security product management experience to the team. Early in his career, Nick spent eight years at Cisco in management positions, building out and leading high-performing security product management teams. Before rejoining Cisco, Nick served as Vice President of Product Management at Menlo Security, founded and led GradientOne as Chief Executive Officer, and was previously Vice President at Silver Tail Systems, in charge of all aspects of product management and marketing. Prior to transitioning to civilian life, Nick served as a submarine officer for the US Navy on Los Angeles–class fast-attack submarines, operating in some of the most demanding, high-stakes environments. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in control systems engineering from the United States Naval Academy. Outside of work, Nick is passionate about community impact and previously served as Board Chair of Urban Services YMCA of San Francisco, which provides critical support to underserved youth and families across the Bay Area.
