Matteo is the Head of EU AI Policy for Cisco’s EU Office, in addition to focusing on other key policy areas such as IP, Competition, and Platforms. He joined Cisco’s Brussels Government Affairs Team in May 2024. He was previously Director, Policy – EMEA at BSA – The Software Alliance, leading its work on AI. Matteo has been based in Brussels since 2013, having worked in consultancy and at the U.S. Mission to the EU. Matteo holds a Master’s Degree in EU Law from LUISS University, and an LLM in International Legal Studies from Georgetown University.
